A comforter is the main layer of the bed. Some are plain inserts you put in a duvet cover, and others come as a set with pillowcases or shams. Fill type, size and what is in the box tell you the most.

The six comforters below are all queen listings and range from a polyester insert to a feather and down fiber fill and a fleece set. Sizes, fills and contents come from each product’s listing page. We have not used these products ourselves. Warmth and fabric claims are the makers’ own.
